The Evolution of the Battle for Badlands

What began on Phoenix Throne as Open PuG Night is now the Battle for Badlands. On Phoenix Throne this event quickly became the weekly server wide romp in the lower tiers. With little to no population in the lower tiers it became impossible for a newer player to gain the renown they need to be effective in the end game content. Open PuG Nights served as a means to gain much needed renown and introduce the fun of large scale combat. Every week hundreds of players would take to the field would flood the battlefield and engage in Open RvR. It is our hopes that we can take this to a whole other level.

Why Tier's 2 & 3?

The Battle of Badlands are Open Public Raids designed to allow lower tiered players a taste of what is to come in tier 4 without having to go into a battle severally out geared and unwarded. The Battle fields of tiers 2 and 3 are limited in the fact that all players have the same level of gear and renown thus making the battlefield depend on how well players play their characters and less on how well they are equipped.

Order Players

All ages are welcome to join us. If you have a lower level character that would like to participate please send Danainn or Dannan a tell and we will place you with a summon / apprentice group. Each week we will be giving away prizes to participants and encourage everyone to come out for the fun. Standards will be provided to assist in moving younger troops. If you have the gold to afford a horse pick one up in Altdorf and when you become apprenticed you'll be able to ride in style. The Gaiscioch Family always welcomes younger troops to participate in their events. Feel free to join us.

Roleplayers, Video Junkies, Bloggers, and Storytellers Wanted!

Your Host The Gaiscioch Family

The Gaiscioch FamilyThe Battle for Badlands is hosted by the Gaiscioch (Gosh-Kia) Family. Gaiscioch is the Gaelic word for 'Divine Warriors' and is taken from the Irish book Lebor Gabala Erenn, the oldest text found on Irish soil. The Gaiscioch were the protectors of the Celt gods. In game we are a heavy oRvR, Low RP family. We have no requirements, commitments, or expectations of our members and welcome everyone of all skill levels. We simply ask that you keep your blades out, not in. We never attack another member of the family. We are about having fun and making friends above all else. For more information about the Gaiscioch Family please visit our website or contact a member of the family in game.
